Charlie Adam set for LiverpoolIt has been confirmed today that Liverpool have reached an agreement with Blackpool Football Club over the transfer of Charlie Adam.  It is rumoured that the fee will be around the £7million mark after add-ons and could also include two Liverpool players going out on loan to Blackpool to help bolster their squad for a tough season in the Championship. However these players are yet to be confirmed.

It has been a prolonged transfer saga since the start of the year during the January transfer window between the two clubs but it looks like Kenny Dalglish has finally got his man.  One major sticking point in the transfer seemed to have been Blackpool’s willingness to hold out for the highest price possible due to a sell on fee that will see Glasgow Rangers (Adam’s former club) net a percentage of the transfer fee.

Charlie Adam has today travelled to Liverpool for his Melwood medical where he was pictured being driven by Kenny Dalglish himself, more evidence that Adam was a prime target for the fellow Scot who is keen to tie up deals for all British based players before the club travel for their pre-season tour of China.  Stewart Downing could be another signing following Adam to Anfield and we believe Liverpool have lodged another bid with Aston Villa this evening so watch this space.
